Daily Nanny in London and Essex

Daily Nanny normally works Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm, but sometimes certain flexibility is required. We provide daily nannies in all London and Essex areas, for Full time or Part time jobs.

A nanny is a professional child carer working within employer’s household on a live in or live out basis. During the working hours the nanny is expected to provide a stimulating and exciting environment for the children.

Most nannies work to a diary or timetable. It helps the nanny to structure their day and also gives a chance to the employer to look back on important milestones which they may have missed. In general Nannies are responsible for all nursery duties only (including all aspects of childcare, i.e. ironing, washing and cooking for the child). It must be underlined that a Nanny is not also acting as a cleaner or a housekeeper (unless otherwise stipulated and agreed to work as a Nanny-Housekeeper).

The Nanny must also be responsible for stimulating the children and encouraging each stage of their development (both physical and mental). Interaction with other children or babies of a similar age is also extremely important, therefore, a steady routine must be established compatible with the children’s needs.

The Nanny will provide a balanced, healthy diet which is of utmost importance and must be maintained throughout. Nannies should also create a happy environment for the children, as well as organising social and recreational activities for them.

We only work with Nannies who have more than 2 years professional child care experience as a Daily Nanny live in/live out, Teacher, Teaching assistant, Nursery or Play group and Crèche worker.

All Nannies we register with us are experienced, might also be qualified, have excellent references from previous employers, most are First aid trained and have current CRB Enhanced disclosures. We strongly advise all Employers to require a new CRB check prior to a new engagement with a Nanny.
